OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT is a high performance summer run flat tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire was manufactured with Goodyear's Extended Mobility Technology, or EMT for short. This technology reinforces the tire's structure and sidewalls to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers in case of air pressure loss. When air pressure leaves the tire due to a puncture or other damage, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. This allows the driver to safely arrive at a nearby location, where they can fix or change the damaged tire, instead of being stranded on the side of the road. Run flat tires are typically made for vehicles without space for a spare tire. Run flat tires are heavier than regular tires, as a result, they cannot be mounted together on the same vehicle.
The model offers great summer weather traction. The AAtrax tire compound and the asymmetric tread design work together to increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The AAtrax racing inspired tire compound keeps its flexibility under extreme heat conditions, preventing heat build-up during the tire's performance. The asymmetric tread's elements keep a consistent grip on the road surface in summer weather, which enhances the driving safety. The wide circumferential groove eliminate water from below the tire's footprint. In this manner, they resist hydroplaning and boost the wet weather traction. The tire is not suited to be driven in winter weather.
The Eagle F1 Supercar EMT ensures first-rate controllability. The special multi-radius tread pattern closely follows the road surface which upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The larger outer shoulder blocks boost the cornering capability. They heighten the number of biting edges firmly gripping the road surface, which increases the maneuvering power. The tread's heat build-up resistance and the internal structure's spirally wrapped Aramid reinforced steel belts guarantee excellent high speed performance as they maintain the tire's optimal shape at all times.
