OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (N0) is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model is the first approved original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles. This tire is for the rear axle position.

The tire promotes great summer weather traction. The special motorsport racing inspired tire compound combines silica, for wet weather traction, resin, for dry weather traction, and polymers, for tread stiffness, to ensure a safer drive. The asymmetric tread design also boosts the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The tread's wide circumferential grooves disperse water from beneath the tire's footprint, enhancing the wet weather traction in this manner and preventing hydroplaning. The model is not suited for winter weather performance.

The model also ensures first-rate controllability. The asymmetric tread design's maintained constant road contact ensures better steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire's continuous center rib keeps the tire close to the road surface, which enhances the steering responsiveness and accuracy and stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure. The outer tread area's shoulder tread blocks enhance the cornering ability and power by heightening the number of biting edges that grip the road surface. The tire was manufactured with the Active Braking technology, which increases the tire's road contact patch at the moment of braking, shortening the braking distance. The better high speed controllability ensures a secure driving experience.

The tire's internal structure improves its performing ability as it was manufactured using technologies derived from motorsport racing. The construction features twin steel belts reinforced with a spirally wrapped polyamide cord to increase tire's stability. It prevents the tire from deforming under the driving pressure affecting the tire during the drive. The stronger construction ensures that the tire is capable of performing to its greatest high speed capability at all times.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (N0) offers a quiet driving experience. The asymmetric tread design features a variable pitch sequence that negates the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. They create a sound frequency that cancels the road noise out and prevents it from being heard in the vehicle's cabin. The result is a quiet and comfortable drive in summer conditions.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
