Goodyear Cargo Marathon
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Trailer tire, NOT FOR LIGHT TRUCKS
- Summer weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Cargo Marathon is a highway terrain, summer tire manufactured for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The tire is easily controlled in summer conditions. The special four ribbed tread design closely follows the road surface at all times. The better road contact increases the model's steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the towing vehicle's commands, while the tire's structure is secured and stabilized during its performance. The upgraded controllability ensures a safer towing experience as the tire's stability prevents it side swaying during the drive. The boosted control over the trailer enables the towing vehicle's driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle.
The model guarantees exceptional summer performance. The tread design's ribbed pattern and the silica-based tire compound work together to improve the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The tread design firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, while the silica compound prevents heat build-up. The optimal siping detail and the silica molecules heighten the number of biting edges firmly gripping the road surface to provide a secure performing capability. The tread's wide circumferential grooves effectively resist hydroplaning. They disperse water from below the tire's footprint and offer a safer driving and towing experience.
The Cargo Marathon offers a quiet drive. The ribbed tread design features a variable phase shift that lowers the road noise levels heard during the drive. This variable phase shift creates a sound frequency that negates the road and tread pattern noise heard while the tires are in motion. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise are not heard in the towing vehicle's cabin, providing a quiet and enjoyable performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
