General Grabber STX2
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Increased traction
- Enhanced controllability
- Better damage resistance
OVERVIEW
The General Grabber STX2 is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. General offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire provides great traction on versatile terrains. Its optimal tread design, with the ideal block placement and sipe detail, provides exceptional surface grip on soft, loose, and uneven terrains. These tread elements allow the tire to firmly grip the road and terrain surface, enabling its consistent forward motion. Additionally, this tread design works with the all season compound to offer dry, wet, and winter grip. During the tire’s on-road drive, circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint. As a result, the tire effectively avoids hydroplaning.
Better damage resistance is also guaranteed. The DuraGen construction and the durable compound manage to effectively combat tread and casing damage. Their combination allows the tire to increase its usability. The compound blend avoids tread damage, resisting chipping, cracking, and tearing. Impact damage, punctures, and cuts are also resisted with the strengthened construction. This combination significantly improves the tire’s overall service life.
The DuraGen technology also improves the tire’s durability. It works with high-strength steel belts to keep the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform during its performance, it is able to effectively enhance its overall load capacity. The strengthened construction and the ribbed tread block placement help maintain surface contact at all times. This leads to better steering responses and accuracy, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. In this manner, the tire’s secure performance is ensured.
