The General Altimax UHP is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This summer tire has great dry and wet traction, but it will not perform well in winter conditions. The tire's tread channels water from its footprint, effectively resisting hydroplaning. This model's larger footprint reduces the tread stress, which slows down the tread wear rate, making the tire last longer. The Visual Alignment Indicator alerts the driver to irregular wear, while the Replacement Tire System clearly indicates when the tire needs to be changed.

Hydroplaning Resistance

The tire's center grooves and the V-shaped lateral grooves in the tread pattern eliminate water and help resist hydroplaning.

Ever Wear

For the first 600 miles of the tire's life, the Visual Alignment Indicator (VIA) warns the driver of uneven wear on the tires.

Replacement Tire System

The driver is notified by the RTM, or Replacement Tire Monitor, when the tire needs to be changed.

Constant Road Contact

The Reactive Contour Technology allows the tire to react to different road conditions, maintaining constant road contact.
