OVERVIEW

The General Altimax Arctic is a winter tire manufactured for passenger, sport utility and light truck vehicles, depending on the tire size.

The tire offers first rate winter weather traction. The All Weather Dual Tread compound and the special multi-angle 3D siping detail work together to boost the winter weather road gripping ability. The compound consists of the mixture of natural rubber and silica to ensure the utmost traction in cold temperature winter and wet road conditions. The special Advanced Reactive Contour Technology further improves the road gripping ability by adjusting the tire to the differing road surface conditions. The wide tread grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from beneath the footprint, to maintain constant road contact.

The model offers a longer lasting tread life. The unique tire compound and the directional tread pattern work together to increase the tire tread's life and usability. The driving pressure is equally distributed along the tread surface, which prevents irregular tread wear from forming across the tread area. The result is an extended tire usability as the tread wear is even throughout the tire's life.

The directional tread pattern's center rib maintains constant road contact in all winter conditions. This ensures a safer driving experience, as the center rib stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure affecting it.
