OVERVIEW
The Firestone FD600 is a highway terrain, all season tire created for commercial vehicles. This model is specially designed for the vehicle's drive axle.
The tire's reinforced structure prevents it from deforming under big loads during the long haul. It is also made of an incredibly sturdy compound, making the tread and casing even stronger. This ability allows it to carry and withstand heavy loads, making the commercial vehicle more effective overall. Since the tire keeps the initial shape of its tread in the long term, it also keeps its controllability and stability. Its sidewall is also resistant to flexing, which would result in serious instabilities.
The model features an asymmetric tread design with slightly angled blocks. Since there is a low void ratio between the two rows in the center, they help with controllability. The whole tread pattern is designed to maintain consistent contact with the road surface. The small notches on the blocks further help with grip by increasing the number of biting edges. This all contributes to stability, which in turn enhances steering responsiveness. This enables you to count on faster and more accurate responses when you drive the vehicle.
Due to the super-deep tread, it takes a long time for it to wear down. This model further slows down the process by utilizing a sturdy rubber blend. Since the tread is completely flat and wide enough to keep stability consistent, there is no chance for irregularities to form on it. Pressure is uniformly distributed across the tread so that its different sections can deal with it separately. All the blocks wear evenly in a straight line forming the same flat footprint again and again until the FD600 runs out of tread.
