OVERVIEW
The Firestone Destination M/T is a mud terrain all season tire manufactured for sport utility and light truck vehicles.
The special tread pattern and the tire compound promote excellent all weather traction. The self-cleaning tread with the wide grooves cleans out mud and snow stuck between the tread elements, while also dispersing water and slush to prevent hydroplaning. The tread pattern expands to the upper sidewalls that allows the model to confidently cut through deeper water, mud and snow while providing excellent year round safety.
The 23-degree Attack Angle grooves, the over the shoulder tread lug design and the wide tread grooves increase the tire's mud terrain traction. The tread pattern ensures safe driving on soft and loose terrain surfaces, allowing the tire to confidently control the vehicle both on and off-road. The tire performs just as well off the road as on it and provides great comfort in the process. The wide wrap around lugs and special tread element shapes and angles prevent road hazard damage on all road conditions.
The tire's internal structure features the Dura-Loc enhancement, which consist of three polyester body plies and a high-strength tie-in construction that maintain the tire's optimal shape. As a result, the tire sticks close to the road surface, which improves the driving experience. The internal structure prevents on and off-road damages from causing problems to the tire and offers a longer lasting durability. The internal structure also features the special O-Bead structure, which is a single continuous strand of cable in the tire's bead. It promotes the optimal tire shape and it does not let the tire deform under the driving pressure. This lowers the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin and offers a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.
The Destination M/T was made with the L. L. Carbon compound. On the molecular level, this compound creates a long interconnecting chain across the tread area. This extends the tread life and prevents irregular wear patterns from forming along the tire surface by evenly distributing the driving pressure over the entire tire. The long tread life is further enhanced with the weather damage resistance, which ensures that the model prevents cracking, chipping and tearing, making the drive safer.
The intended purpose of Mud Terrain tire types is off-road use. They are not designed for regular highway driving.
