Federal Himalaya Iceo
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- High driving comfort levels
- Winter weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
OVERVIEW
The Federal Himalaya Iceo is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire guarantees a comfortable drive. The tread design's zigzag block placement improves the tread rigidity and stability. This prevents tread flexing while the tires are in motion, which can create excessive road and tread pattern noise. By stabilizing the tread area, the tire allows airwaves to channel through the footprint, without coming into contact with the tread elements. This enables the tire to significantly reduce the road noise heard by the passengers in the vehicle's cabin during the drive, offering high driving comfort levels.
The model uses its winter compound and detailed tread pattern to increase the winter weather road grip. The advanced silica compound and the ribbed tread design with the high-density siping placement work together to boost the winter grip, especially on ice- and snow-covered surface conditions. Even without studs, the tread design provides adequate biting edges to firmly grip onto the road surface during the tire's winter weather performance. On the other hand, the silica in the rubber compound keeps its flexibility in freezing temperatures, promoting a safer drive. The tread design's numerous circumferential and lateral grooves work together to boost the hydroplaning resistance by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint and maintaining its surface contact at all times.
The Himalaya Iceo upgrades its controllability. The stabilized tire footprint optimizes the tire's road contact during the drive. The tread rigidity maintains the surface grip throughout the model's performance, which boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more accurate, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The tread's high-density siping placement helps improve the braking power. These sipes grip the ice- and snow-covered road surface and create friction between the tire and the road to increase the braking ability, which shortens the braking distance. This combination guarantees the driver's better control over the vehicle, promoting a safer winter weather driving experience.
