Excelsior Bias Ply
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- All season performance
- Enhanced controllability
- Longer-lasting tread life
OVERVIEW
The Excelsior Bias Ply is a touring, all season tire made for vintage passenger vehicles.
Better controllability and handling are promoted. The symmetric tread design improves surface contact. The tread elements increase steering responsiveness and driving stability, while also increasing the model's maneuvering ability. This promotes quick and precise steering responses and better structural stability. On the other hand, cornering and braking are also effectively enhanced. These elements increase the tire’s overall driving safety levels.
The model provides great all season traction. The detailed footprint and the all weather compound work together to enhance the model's dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. The tread elements provide additional biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. The ideal groove placement prevents hydroplaning as well during the tire’s performance. Water and slush are dispersed, preventing them from cutting off the footprint’s surface contact.
The Excelsior Bias Ply offers a longer-lasting tread life. The stabilized footprint and the strong compound enable the tire to increase the tread life. The tread ensures even pressure circulation across the tread area, avoiding irregular wear formations. Strong compound elements decrease the treadwear rate as well, by using wear-resistant compound elements. The slow and even wear boosts the service life.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
This is a Tubed Type Tire (TT), which requires an inner tube to properly function. This purchase does not include the inner tube or flaps.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
