OVERVIEW
The Dunlop SP Sport 7010 A/S DSST is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model was designed with Dunlop's Self-Supporting Technology, DSST for short. This reinforces the tire's structure, enabling it to maintain the ideal tire shape even after air pressure loss. When the tire pressure drops due to a puncture or some other damage, the tire still offers a limited, temporary performance. In other words, it can be driven for 50 miles up to 50 mph. Due to their heavier internal structure, run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires.
The tire increases its all season performance. Durable, all season compound elements and the asymmetric tread design work together to increase the dry, wet, and winter weather grip on the road surface. As a result, the tire manages to significantly enhance the grip by creating additional biting edges. This combination also keeps the rubber flexible throughout the year. Circumferential and lateral-sweeping grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint, effectively avoiding hydroplaning in the process.
The tread design's consistent road contact optimizes the tire's controllability. The solid center rib works with the Jointless Band Technology, which keeps the ideal tire shape, to ensure a close road contact. In this manner, the tire boosts its steering responsiveness and driving stability. The shoulder block placement provides additional biting edges, enhancing its cornering ability. The sipe and groove pattern provide traction during the grip, shortening the overall braking distance. The combination of these enhancements enables the tire's exceptional performance.
The SP Sport 7010 A/S DSST features a Multi-Pitch Tread Design Technology which is used to reduce road noise levels. This tread pattern generates a sound-canceling frequency that negates sound waves created during the drive. The pitch pattern prevents sound waves from reaching the vehicle's cabin, guaranteeing a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
