OVERVIEW

The Doublestar DS968 is a touring, all weather tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire offers excellent all weather traction. The semi-asymmetric tread design and the all season tire compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound maintains its pliability in hot temperatures, and it keeps the rubber flexibility throughout the year. The tread's wave-shaped lateral grooves improve the grip on the road surface to ensure a safer traction. The circumferential grooves avoid hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and keep an optimized road contact.

The tread design upgrades the tire's handling in all weather conditions. The tread's solid center rib keeps the road surface contact at all times, which boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. This tread design, along with the optimized tire shape, enhances the high speed performing capability. They prevent the deformation of the optimal tire shape and decrease the possibility of heat build-up during the tire's high speed performance, enabling the tire to safety perform at high speeds.

The DS968 provides a quiet drive. The tread's optimal pattern, with the wave-shaped lateral grooves, channels airwaves through the tire's footprint, preventing them from coming into contact with the tread elements. This allows the tire to increase the driving comfort levels by decreasing the road and tread pattern noise formed while the tires are in motion.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
