OVERVIEW
The Dick Cepek (Mickey Thompson) Extreme Country is an extreme terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire promotes first-rate extreme terrain road gripping ability. The tire features large, staggered tread blocks with siping detail, a high void ratio and an open shoulder tread block pattern that works together to increase the soft, loose and uneven terrain gripping ability. These tread elements enable the tire's secure off-road performance. The tire's upper sidewall tread design provides side-ways biting edges that grip the surface when driving through deep mud and loose dirt. The self-cleaning tread design maintains a clean footprint. It disperses mud and snow from between the tread elements and prevents them from blocking the tire's surface contact. In this manner, the tire ensures a safer off-road extreme terrain driving experience.
The self-cleaning nature of the tread also avoids damage from shortening the tire's lifetime. The tread pattern with the stone ejecting ribs gets rid of rocks from the footprint before they can drill into the tire's tread area and harm the casing. This, along with the stronger internal structure, resists punctures and other damage from damaging the tire during its off-road performance. The reinforced steel belt and ply construction maintains the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure. This enables the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease, increasing the load capacity. The optimal tire shape and the flat footprint enable the tire's close road contact. The better surface contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability, which boosts the driver's control over the vehicle on extreme terrain surfaces.
The Extreme Country was manufactured from a durable all season tire compound. This compound and the large tread blocks enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. They enable the tire's all weather performance, which increases the tire's performing safety. This tire compound also helps extend the tread life. It slows the tread wear rate down significantly by making the tire wear-resistant. The slower tread wear is combined with the staggered tread elements which enable the model's even pressure distribution. As a result, the tire lengthens its usability by guaranteeing a slower, even tread wear rate.
Extreme Terrain tire types are not designed for regular highway driving. They are primarily designed for off-road applications.
