The Cooper Zeon RS3-S is a performance and high performance tire, depending on the speed rating of the specific size, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes great summer weather traction. The high-grip summer compound and the asymmetric tread design increase the dry and wet weather traction. The wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The tire, however, is not suited for winter weather performance as its compound loses its flexibility in colder temperatures, while the tread is not capable to maintain its road grip on snow and ice-covered road surfaces. The compound is capable to take the heat of summer weather driving and ensures a safer warm weather performance.
The tread design keeps the tire's road contact at all times. The solid dual center rib closely follows the road surface to ensure a better controllability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tires. The larger outer shoulder tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface to ensure a secure cornering ability and power. The Zeon RS3-S reduces the road noise levels heard while the tires are in motion. The lateral intermediate tread elements decrease the road noise generated while the tires are in motion by preventing the airwaves from entering the tire's footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements. As a result, the model guarantees a quiet performance.
