OVERVIEW
The Cooper Weather-Master S/T 2 is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire offers excellent winter weather traction thanks to the zig zag, high density, "D Squared" Sipe Technology. These sipes appear often in the tread pattern and are full depth, meaning that they will not disappear as the tire wears. The tire's great traction is further enhanced, even in severe winter conditions, by the Snow Groove Technology. This technology gathers snow in the outer circumferential grooves of the tread to improve its traction. The snow packed in the tread grooves increase the grip as the snow provides better traction than the rubber on snowy roads, and this snow on snow traction makes the tire safer to drive.
The safety is further boosted with the superb hydroplaning resistance. The lateral and circumferential grooves in the tread pattern help evacuate water and slush from beneath the tire's footprint. This way the tire maintains constant road contact and prevents dangerous hydroplaning in deeper water.
The tire's Tri-Polymer compound stabilizes the wet, ice and snow grip of the tire, enhancing its performing capability in those weather conditions. It also optimizes the tread's flexing ability in colder weather conditions, while also providing strong treadwear. The tire's tread wear rate is slowed down, which makes it usable for a longer period of time.
The Weather-Master S/T 2 offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The tread design allows the soundwaves to travel through the tire's footprint. This cancels out the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle.
