OVERVIEW
The Cooper GLS Touring is a touring all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The model offers excellent all weather traction due to the tread design. This design enhances the wet and light snow road grip, while maintaining the exceptional dry grip. The tread pattern's wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. The tire is safer to use in all weather conditions thanks to the high gripping ability of the tread.
The tire maintains its stability during the drive, even when maneuvering, which makes its use safer. The special 3D micro-gauge siping design of the tread increases the road grip and stabilizes the tread area and the tire during accelerating, braking and cornering. The continuous center rib enhances the steering responsiveness and accuracy by keeping a constant road contact. The tire is quick and precise in its response to the driver's commands and it provides exceptional road feedback. As a result, the driver is capable of confidently steering the vehicle year round.
The GLS tire compound and the tread pattern working together extend the tire's life. The GLS compound slows down the tread wear rate, while the tread design spreads the driving pressure equally across the tread area. The even distribution of the driving force prevents irregular wear across the tire and allows the tire to be used for a longer period of time.
The GLS Touring's tread pattern was computer optimized with a sound quality system that managed the variable pitch sequence of the tread. This pitch design cancels out road and pattern noise the moment they are created, which reduces the noise levels heard in the cabin of the vehicle, making the driving experience quiet and comfortable.
