OVERVIEW
The Cooper Discoverer S/T is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire compound and the special tread pattern provide exceptional all weather traction. The tire is able to firmly grip the road in dry, wet and winter weather. It is pinned for studs, as metal or rubber studs can be added for additional ice and snow road grip. The deep tread grooves eliminate water and slush from below the tire footprint, actively resisting dangerous hydroplaning. The model maintains its road and terrain contact at all times, as the self-cleaning nature of the tire cleans out mud and snow stuck between the tread elements. This allows for a safe year-round drive.
The tire is capable of handling all off-road conditions, and it performs excellently on soft, loose and uneven terrain surfaces. The deep tread and the scalloped shoulder design maximize soft surface traction and allow the tire's forward motion in deep mud and loose dirt. The off-road road grip is further enhanced with the tire's stone and rock ejecting self-cleaning tread pattern which offers a continuous road contact. This prevents stone retention and reduces the possibility of punctures. This model is able to perform well in both on- and off-road circumstances.
The Discoverer S/T offers a longer lasting tread life. The beveled tread block edges and the optimized tire profile distribute the forces of accelerating, cornering and braking equally across the tread. This even dispersion of the driving pressure prevents irregularities in the tread wear and offers a longer lasting, even tread life. The tire is usable for a longer period of time as a result, which makes it more cost-efficient.
