OVERVIEW
The Cooper Discoverer M+S is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks.
This tire has excellent winter weather traction. M+S means the tire performs well in mud and snow and provides great traction in those conditions. The superb winter traction is further improved with the Snow Groove tread pattern that helps increase the tire's grips in colder winter temperatures. The tire is able to perform well in the most severe winter conditions without a problem. Additional biting edges for driving on ice and in loose snow are offered by the D Square siping Technology that increases the sipe density in the tread design. The extra traction and road grip enhance the tire's safety in winter weather.
The tire's sawtooth-like center rib boosts the directional stability, the steering responsiveness and the tread life. The directional stability of the tire ensures it's easy to handle and that it does not deform due to the driving pressure. The better stability improves the tire's performing capability. The steering responsiveness of the tire is swifter and more accurate as the center rib maintains constant contact with the road. As the tire's response to the driver's commands is quicker, the driver can maneuver the vehicle through differing road conditions with confidence. The good steering responsiveness makes the tire easier to handle.
The Discoverer M+S's winter weather compound and the center rib help elongate the tread life. The tread compound offers an exceptional tread life on its own, if it is not used in the summer months. The tire wears out quicker in summer due to the heat, which is why its use in summer months is not recommended. However, in the winter the tire maintains a slow wear rate. The center rib in the tread design balances out the driving force along the entire tread area, which prevent irregular wear on the tires. As the tire wear is evenly, it remains usable for a longer period of time.
