OVERVIEW
The Cooper Discoverer HTP is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks.
The model offers great all weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather thanks to the tread design and the silica infused tire compound. The 3D sipes located in the tread offer extra grip in winter weather. The circumferential grooves resist hydroplaning situations by eliminating water from below the tire tread. This allows the tire to be used all year, while not taking away from its remarkable safety.
The 3D sipes in the tread provide excellent road grip. The better road grip increases the tire's steering responsiveness and maneuverability. The tire reacts to the driver's commands swiftly and accurately, allowing the driver to confidently control the vehicle in the changing weather conditions. The better road grip, increased by the additional biting edges, also improves the cornering and maneuvering ability. The siping detail provides great all weather cornering ability and power, making the tire safer to use.
The silica-based tire compound makes the tire very fuel and cost efficient, as it lowers the rolling resistance. The lower rolling resistance decreases the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the vehicle, while at the same time it slows down the wear rate of the tire. The longer lasting tread enables the tire to be used for a longer period of time. The lessened energy use makes the tire environmentally friendly.
The computer optimized tread block design and tire profile of the Discoverer HTP offer a comfortable and quiet driving experience. The special tread design lowers the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle by cancelling out the pattern noise the moment it is generated. The tire profile maintains constant road contact, which reduced the vibrations felt by the passengers, making the drive more enjoyable.
