OVERVIEW
The Continental CrossContact UHP (MO) is a performance and high performance, summer tire made for SUVs. This model is the original equipment tire of select Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
This summer tire model offers excellent dry and wet road traction. This is due to the silica infused tire compound and the special tread design. However, it will not perform well in lower temperatures, in snow or on ice. The four wide circumferential and the numerous lateral grooves in the tread pattern disperse water from beneath the footprint of the tire. This increases the tire's hydroplaning resistance in deep water.
This model's excellent high speed directional stability is provided by the unique asymmetric tread design and its independent tread blocks. This also improves its steering responsiveness, offering superb handling precision with the firm shoulder tread blocks. The pattern on the shoulder of the tire also boosts the cornering ability, stability and power, making the tire safer to use at high speeds.
The CrossContact UHP (MO) also offers a quiet driving experience. The offset tread position lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin, which provides a quiet and comfortable drive.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
