OVERVIEW
The Continental CrossContact ATR is an all terrain, summer weather tire manufactured for light trucks and SUVs.
The tread pattern provides a high number of biting edges and boosts the overall handling ability and driving stability. These tread elements closely follow the driving surface and improve the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's instructions. The ideal sipe and notch pattern enhance the overall maneuvering power and upgrade the cornering and braking ability. It allows the driver to control the vehicle with confidence all the time, guaranteeing a better and safer driving experience.
The strengthened internal materials prevent the tire from losing its optimal shape under load and driving pressure, improving the tire's load capacity. These structural materials keep the tire in its optimal shape in heavy-duty conditions. The tread also enhances the tire's load handling power by avoiding excessive pressure build-up across the tread area. The combination of these features allows the tire to perform well under larger loads.
The staggered blocks and high void ratio upgrade the soft, loose, and uneven terrain traction. These tread elements work together in order to ensure a consistent forward motion on versatile surface conditions. The tread also keeps the footprint clean by dispersing mud and snow from the footprint, preventing them from blocking the surface contact. Stone retention is also prevented, as rocks do not drill into the tread area.
The specially placed tread elements are able to lower road disturbances throughout the performance, promoting a noise-free driving experience. The footprint is able to prevent the airwaves from generating tread noise, preventing it from reaching the vehicle's cabin. In other words, this allows the passengers to enjoy a quiet and comfortable driving experience during the tire's on-road drive.
The Continental CrossContact ATR benefits from its summer compound materials and detailed tread elements. This combination allows the tire to perform remarkably well in summer weather conditions. The optimized compound avoids heat build-up across the tread area, while grooves eliminate water from the footprint. This prevents the vehicle from hydroplaning and offers a safer summer weather performance.
