OVERVIEW

The Continental ContiProContact (MO) is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some high performance sizes available. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.

The tire was manufactured to be the original equipment tire for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It has received the 'MO' rating, Mercedes-Benz Original, which notes its excellent performing capability. This tire allows Mercedes-Benz vehicles to perform to their highest capability in all weather, while not sacrificing their comfort. It was rigorously tested before being accepted as a Mercedes-Benz tire, which ensures its first-rate comfort, performance, handling and fuel efficiency.

The tread pattern and all season tire compound increase the all weather traction. They firmly grip the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements ensure superb grip on all road surfaces. The wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The better hydroplaning resistance and all weather road grip provide a safer year round performance.

The model ensures exceptional handling. The tread's interlocking sipes and the stable shoulder lugs increase the driving stability and the steering responsiveness. The interlocking sipes allow the tire to maintain road contact at all times, which stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The stabilized shoulder lugs boost the road gripping ability and road contact to enhance the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver's commands. In this manner, the tire guarantees a secure drive and better controllability in all weather.

The special tire compound and maintained road contact work together to decrease the rolling resistance. The lowered weight of the compound and the even pressure distribution manage to ease the driving pressure off the tire, decreasing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the driving pressure that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. This results in lower levels of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions on the vehicle's part, making the tire fuel efficient and environmentally friendly at the same time.

The ContiProContact (MO) ensures reduced road noise levels. The tread pattern, with the circumferential ribs, channel the airwaves through the tire's footprint, without letting them come into contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise is not generated, which promotes a comfortable and quiet driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
