The Continental ContiCrossContact AT is an all terrain, summer tire manufactured or SUVs.
The model has excellent summer weather traction and it grips the road well in dry and wet weather. This is due to the special tread block pattern and the silica-based tire compound used in the manufacture of the model. While it has superb summer road grip, the tire is not recommended for use in winter weather as the tire compound loses its traction in the colder winter temperatures. The wide tread grooves eliminate water from below the tire footprint, which effectively resist dangerous hydroplaning in deeper water. The enhanced road grip and safety make the tire safer to use in summer conditions.
The model is also easy to handle and offers a safer driving experience. The tire has a larger road contact area, which makes it possible to improve both the braking ability, the stability and the steering responsiveness. The tire's optimized footprint increases the friction created when braking, which shortens its braking distance.
