OVERVIEW
The Carlisle Versa Trail XTR is an extreme terrain, all season tire created for ATVs and UTVs.
The tire's all season compound ensures the rubber flexibility required for consistent off-road traction. The tread design also largely contributes to the model's versatile terrain grip, as it provides the tire with plenty of biting edges. Both the shoulder- and center blocks have a couple sipes on top, while the high void ratio also improves the tire's gripping ability. The arrangement of the tread elements is great for the tire's self-cleaning ability, as it easily gets rid of snow, mud, and rocks throughout the performance.
The non-directional tread pattern is specially designed to consistently maintain surface contact. Its tread elements are large and evenly spread out, making the tire more stable and easily controllable. The driver can seamlessly command the vehicle, as the tire ensures fast and accurate steering responses, while the footprint is secured against the driving pressure. This level of controllability is guaranteed even in some of the harshest off-road conditions.
The strengthened Tough Tread rubber compound and the aggressive tread pattern provide the tire with excellent damage resistance capabilities. The tread elements won't let rocks get stuck between them, preventing stone retention that would otherwise result in tread damage. Chipping, cuts, and punctures are also completely out of the question, due to the reinforced construction. This also makes the Versa Trail XTR wear-resistant, and supports the tread and the sidewall when bigger loads are applied.
Extreme Terrain tire types are not designed for regular highway driving. They are primarily designed for off-road applications.
