Long-Term Owner Review (Tesla Model 3)
After nearly 14,000 miles on these tires, I wanted to leave a detailed review for anyone considering them for a Tesla.
Vehicle: 2018 Tesla Model 3 (19” wheels)
Overall, I think these are excellent tires in some areas, but they also have a significant downside.
Ride Quality: 9/10
The improvement in ride comfort was noticeable almost immediately. Compared to the factory tires, bumps were absorbed much better, and the car felt smoother over rough pavement.
Road Noise: 8. 5/10
These became noticeably quieter after the first few hundred miles. The cabin stayed quieter than it did on the OEM tires throughout my ownership.
Handling: 8/10
Handling is good, although not as sharp as the factory tires. Turn-in feels a little softer, but they’re still confidence-inspiring for normal daily driving.
Traction: 8/10
When new, the tires slipped more during hard acceleration than I expected. After the break-in period, traction improved and launches became much more consistent. They still don’t hook up quite like the OEM tires under heavy Tesla torque, but that’s the tradeoff for a quieter, more comfort-oriented tire.
Efficiency: 8. 5/10
My efficiency increased slightly during the break-in period but eventually settled around 290 Wh/mi, which I was happy with.
Tread Life: 4/10
This is where I was disappointed.
I maintained these carefully:
-42 PSI cold
-Regular tire rotations
-No abnormal alignment issues
Despite that, after about 13,700 miles the tires are already measuring around 4–5/32” with only slightly more wear on the inner shoulders, which is fairly common on a Tesla. Based on my wear rate, I expect these to fall wayyy short of the advertised mileage warranty.
I also had one tire replaced due to an unavoidable road hazard (large piece of metal), which obviously isn’t the tire’s fault.
My Final Thoughts
If your priorities are comfort, low road noise, and a refined daily driving experience, these are great tires. They genuinely transformed how comfortable the car feels compared to the OEM tires.
However, if long tread life is your top priority, my personal experience has been disappointing. Despite careful maintenance and consistent rotations, the wear has been much faster than I expected and will have to be replacing them pretty soon and they are only about 6 months old since I purchased them.
I don’t really regret buying them because the comfort and quiet ride are actually good, but I will definitely be pursuing a treadwear warranty claim to see whether my experience qualifies for a prorated adjustment. But even then I don’t really want to be replacing tires every 6 months unfortunately.
Overall Rating: 8/10
Pros:

* Quiet on the highway
* Stable handling
* Good efficiency once broken in
Cons:
* Faster tread wear than expected
* May not deliver the mileage some drivers expect on a Tesla
