OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport is a high performance summer tire made for passenger vehicles.
This tire offers excellent summer weather traction. In other words, the tire has remarkable road grip in dry and wet weather conditions, but it is not recommended for use in winter weather. The colder temperatures cause the tire compound to lose its exceptional traction and it can become unsafe. The wide tread grooves also increase the tire's wet traction and provide a safer drive as they channel water from beneath the footprint. This allows the tire to resist hydroplaning and become safer to use.
The longer lasting tread life is the result of the strengthened L. L. Carbon tread compound. The Long Link Carbon creates a long chain on the molecular level throughout the tread area, and this spreads the driving pressure equally across it. The even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevent irregular wear on the tire, forcing it to wear out evenly. The longer lasting, even tread wear of the tire and the stronger, slower wearing tread extend the life of the model. The L. L. Carbon also improves the rolling resistance of the tire, as it reduces the tire's weight.
The tire's O-Bead structure helps enhance its high speed stability. The O-Bead structure is a single continuous strand of cable in the bead of the tire, which increases its high speed stability and comfort levels. The tire maintains its shape, even under the pressure of high speed driving, and provides a stable and safe driving experience. The high speed performance of the tire is further increased with the precise steering responsiveness. The larger road contact area of the tire offers greater accuracy and swift responsiveness. The better steering makes the tire respond quickly and more precisely to the commands of the driver.
The Potenza RE760 Sport was manufactured with a special reinforced sidewall. This sidewall protects the rim from accidental curb damages, preventing costly wheel purchases.
