The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Scuderia is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes excellent summer weather traction. The high grip tire compound and the asymmetric tread pattern work together to increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The compound ensures exceptional dry performance with its high-grip elements, while the tread firmly grips the road surface. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The model, however, is not for winter weather performance as the tread and compound are unable to provide cold temperature, ice and snow traction.
The special tread design boosts the model's controllability. The outer shoulder tread block placement and the continuous center rib maintain the tire's road contact at all times. This effectively improves the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the cornering capability. The center rib's contact boosts the steering response time and accuracy and it stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it. The shoulder blocks provide additional biting edges that firmly grip the road surface. The tread designs lateral grooves shorten the braking distance. They create friction at the moment of braking to enhance the braking capability and in this manner, offer a safer performance.
The model guarantees a longer lasting tread life. The Potenza RE050A Scuderia features a reinforced internal structure.
