The Bridgestone Potenza RE040 is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model has excellent summer traction and it grips the road well in dry and wet weather. However, this tire is not meant to be used in winter conditions as the tire compound loses its traction in colder temperatures. The tread's circumferential grooves eliminate water from below the footprint and effectively resist hydroplaning.

The O-Bead structure is a single continuous strand of cable in the tire's bead construction which strengthens the tire and provides a smooth and comfortable driving experience.
