The Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 is an all season touring tire built for passenger vehicles. It also has some high performance sizes available. The reduced rolling resistance of the tire combined with the specially constructed NanoPro-Tech tire compound, enables lower fuel usage per mile and CO2 emissions, making the model more economical. This all season tire has excellent traction in any condition, even in light winter weather, and the tread pattern helps resist hydroplaning in deep water. The strengthened tire compound prevents accidental damage, while the Ecopia EP422 keeps its shape at high speeds for better stability.

The tread design also makes the tire safer to use in wet weather conditions, as the wide circumferential grooves help eliminate water from below the tire footprint, effectively resisting hydroplaning. The tire is safer to use all year thanks to these features.
The rolling resistance is further decreased with the NanoPro-Tech tire compound, which is a trademark of Bridgestone's Ecopia models. The lessened rolling resistance is the result of the combination of the compound and the tire's lighter weight which provide better fuel economy.
