OVERVIEW

The Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire's optimized casing shape improves its high speed performing capability. The uniformity of the model maintains constant contact with the road, which allows it to perform to its highest capabilities. The internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon. This enhancement keeps the tire's shape against the driving pressure and does not let it deform. The preserved optimal tire shape increases the high speed performing ability and makes high speed driving safer, as the external driving forces cannot affect the tire.

The tire has first-rate winter weather traction and it grips the ice and snow covered roads well, thanks to the Multi-cell compound used in its manufacture. The compound cuts through thin layers of surface water, increasing the road gripping ability of the tire. The bite particles make sure that the tire is safe to use in winter weather by shortening its braking distance and enhancing its maneuvering ability. The wide circumferential grooves resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. The tire is safe to use in all winter conditions and it is capable of handling the harshest winter circumstances. It is marked with the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol.

The Blizzak WS80 has a longer lasting tread life, as the optimized tire casing and tire profile evenly distribute the weight across the entire tire. The spread out pressure prevents irregular wear across the tread area. As the tire does not wear unevenly, it is usable for a longer period of time. The tire also features tread wear indicators. They show when the tire is about to lose its excellent traction and wear out. When the tire is 50% worn out they note that the tire has 10% more of the special Multi-cell compound on the tread area. This allows the driver to change their tire on time and to not risk driving on a worn out tire.
