OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Blizzak W965 is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire promotes great winter weather traction. This model improves the ice and snow traction with the stronger tread design and the special multi-cell compound. The symmetric tread design with the large tread blocks and high-density zigzag siping pattern improves the grip the tire has on the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. This allows the tire to maintain the tire's grip on the road throughout its performance, even in harsher winter weather. The multi-cell compound further boosts the ice grip by removing a thin layer of surface water during the drive. The large zigzag circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint.
The model was designed and produced with Bridgestone's UNI-T technology, which combined different innovative technologies to optimize the tire's performance. It improves the controllability, durability and tread life by with the ideal tread design, compound and internal structure.
The ideal tread design features large tread blocks sequences in the symmetric ribbed tread pattern which enables the tire to closely follow the road surface. This allows the tire to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The better road contact and grip upgrades the tire's response time and accuracy to the driver's steering instructions, while it secures the structure against the driving pressure and stabilizes it. The strengthened structure also helps enhance the stability, along with the durability. The full steel belt and polyester cord reinforcement maintains the tire's ideal shape under the load and driving pressure. This significantly improves the load carrying and withstanding capability, which greatly increases the load capacity.
The Blizzak W965 ensures a lengthened usability. The durable tire compound and the symmetric tread block placement of the pattern work together to extend the tire's service life. The multi-cell compound manages to decrease the tread wear rate with the wear-resistant rubber materials.
