OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 is a touring, winter tire manufactured for SUVs.
This tire has excellent winter traction and will grip the road well in snow and on ice. It's rated M+S for mud and snow and has the snowflake and mountain peaks symbol on its sidewall, indicating that it will perform well even in extreme winter conditions. The continuous lug and the multi-Z center tread pattern enhance its snow and ice traction and help resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and snow from beneath the footprint and between the tread grooves.
The tire's excellent winter performance is due to the RC polymer tire compound. This NanoPro-tech rubber compound gives the rubber more flexibility, enabling it to adjust to different surface conditions. The Tube Multi-Cell compound improves the tire's control on ice by cutting through thin layers on surface.
The tire also offers a longer lasting tread. The L.L. Carbon enhances the tread life by making it resistant to wear and mechanical damages, such as chipping, cracking and tearing, made possible by the unique long length carbon structure. This makes the tire's life longer overall.
The Blizzak DM-V1's O-Bead structure provides uniformity and comfort while driving with the continuous strand of cable in the bead.
