BFGoodrich Route Control D
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Robust Tire Structure
- Extended Tread Life
- All Weather Traction
OVERVIEW
The BFGoodrich Route Control D is a highway terrain, all weather tire made for commercial vehicles. This model can be installed on the drive axle of the vehicle.
The sidewall is designed to absorb shocks and to withstand impacts from curbing. They have achieved this with a built-in curb guard that reinforces the sidewall. This way, the tire tread gets some additional support from its firm base as well. This model has an all steel construction and a durable tire casing overall that enables the tire to withstand heavy loads without deforming.
It is designed to provide uniform wear and long tread life with the microsiping technology. The sipes on the tread combat the onset of irregular wear. The directional tread pattern was another important design choice for ensuring smooth, uniform wear. The tread footprint is flat and symmetrical, which ensures evenly distributed driving pressure and heat as well, which are factors that contribute to tire wear.
This model is ready for the harshest weather conditions with its tread that is designed for firm gripping. Whether the tire is facing curbs, rain or snow, consistent traction is all the driver can expect. The open shoulder tread design further improves traction on surfaces of any sort. Establishing traction is easy with the directional tread pattern that does all the cleaning with its zigzag grooves and ideal block placement. Self-cleaning is a feature on the Route Control D that comes with the open shoulder and a carefully designed tread.
All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.
