OVERVIEW
The BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 is a high performance, summer tire for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model has great dry and wet traction and is constructed to enable enhanced acceleration, cornering and braking in such conditions. While this tire is not meant for colder temperatures, it grips the road well in dry and wet situations, and the tread pattern, with the shoulder and circumferential grooves, resists hydroplaning in deep water. The G-Hook technology also gives additional biting edges to the tire for cornering, braking and maneuvering, providing a safer driving experience.
The tire was manufactured using BFGoodrich's motorsport-inspired technologies. The Performance Racing Core internal structure with the ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) system optimizes the tread's road contact area for more precise, high speed control over the tire. This, along with the stiff sidewall structure, improves its cornering ability, power and directional driving stability.
The g-Force Sport COMP-2's directional tread pattern and the stabilized tread blocks on the shoulders improve the feedback between the tire and the road. This model's COMP-2 silica-enhanced compound, also developed from racing technology, boosts the steering precision and response. This makes the tire's handling more precise and its controllability superb.
