Astro Tires Grip King
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Longer lasting tread life
- Self-cleaning tread pattern
- Field friendly performance
OVERVIEW
The Astro Tires Grip King is an all season tire manufactured for tractors.
The tire improves its service life and durability. The deep tread, the durable compound and the stronger structure work together to increase the tire's tread life and load durability. The load durability is improved with the reinforced construction which does not deform under the load and driving pressure affecting it. The tread design's road contact and the stronger compound increase the tread life length by preventing uneven wear and decreasing the tread wear rate. This combination greatly upgrades the tire's driving durability.
The tread design features a directional lug placement and a high void ratio which maintain a clean footprint. This pattern prevents mud and snow from packing between the tread elements and blocking off the tire's surface contact while the tires are in motion. It also prevents stone retention. As the tread prevents rocks from getting stuck between the tread elements, it avoids stone retention as rocks cannot drill into the tire's casing during its performance, promoting a safer driving experience.
The Grip King manages to increase its field friendly performance. The directional tread design optimizes the tire's soil and soft terrain traction. It provides enough flotation to ensure the model's forward motion at all times, which increases the tire's controllability. Furthermore, the better flotation also ensures the tire's turf friendly performance, minimizing the possibility of field retention. Field retention causes the tire to diminish the soil's quality. By avoiding it, the tire offers a secure off-road performance.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
This is a Tubed Type Tire (TT), which requires an inner tube to properly function. This purchase does not include the inner tube or flaps.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
