- Longer-lasting tread life
OVERVIEW
The Armstrong ASR12 is a highway terrain, all weather tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model is designed to be mounted on steer axle positions.
Great controllability is promoted with this tire. The ribbed tread pattern and the strong rubber compound work together to maintain road contact at all times. It improves steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering response time becomes faster and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. On the other hand, the outer ribs and their strong grip boost cornering and maneuvering. This gives the driver full control over the vehicle, guaranteeing a safe driving experience.
The optimal tread pattern and the all weather compound increase the tire's performance throughout the year. The ribbed tread pattern maintains road contact in all conditions, while the all weather compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. As a result, these elements increase the tire's dry, wet, and winter-weather traction. Hydroplaning resistance is offered as well. The large grooves eliminate water and slush from the footprint in wet situations.
The model guarantees a fuel-efficient performance. The ribbed tread design and the special silica compound reduce the rolling resistance. It presents the pressure that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The low rolling resistance decreases fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, which leads to a fuel-conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.
The Armstrong ASR12 lengthens its service life. The ribbed tread pattern evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area, while the wear-resistant compound slows the tread wear rate down significantly. These elements prevent irregular and premature wear formations, which improves the tire's tread life.
All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
