OVERVIEW
The Arctic Claw Winter WXI is a highway terrain, winter tire made for SUVs. This model has some touring, passenger sizes available as well.
Excellent on-road traction and road contact greatly improve the tire's handling. The tread's continuous center rib maintains the tire's surface contact throughout the drive, boosting steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The optimal tread elements also help shorten the braking distance. They create friction between the tire and the road at the moment of braking, which greatly upgrades the braking power. As a result, the tire ensures the driver's constant control over the vehicle.
The ideal tread design and the winter compound upgrade the tire's performance in harsh winter conditions. The tread area is pinned for studs, and it also features a high-density siping pattern. This pattern was molded using a stronger winter compound blend, in order to increase its winter grip. Durable rubber materials keep the tire pliable in freezing conditions. On the other hand, the tread greatly upgrades its grip with extra biting edges. Hydroplaning is promoted with the grooves, which channel water and slush from the footprint.
The Arctic Claw Winter WXI offers high driving comfort levels. This tread design and its constant contact with the driving surface reduce road and tread noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. The tread elements channel airwaves throughout the footprint, preventing them from coming into contact with tread elements. This enables the passengers to enjoy a quiet performance by resisting sound wave formations.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
