OVERVIEW
The Americus Rugged M/T is a mud terrain all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire promotes great off-road performance. The tread design features large, staggered tread blocks, wide grooves and an open shoulder pattern that work together to ensure first-rate performance on soft and loose terrain surfaces. These tread elements are capable of finding good road grip in all weather as well. They provide dry, wet and winter weather traction to further improve the off-road gripping ability. The enhanced off-road and all weather traction allows the tire to safely perform during the drive.
The all season and off-road traction is further improved with the maintained clean footprint. The wide tread grooves and specialized tread elements clean out mud and slush and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. This avoids stone retention, which can cause harm to the tire’s carcass while ensuring a safer driving experience in all weather. The wide grooves also prevent hydroplaning as they disperse water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. This allows the tire to keep its optimized road contact and guarantees a secure driving experience.
The Rugged M/T provides constant road contact. The center and shoulder tread block sequence designs significantly increase the tire’s controllability. In this manner, the model’s steering responsiveness becomes faster and more precise, while the tire’s structure is stabilized even on harsh off-road surface conditions. The better controllability allows the driver to confidently control the vehicle.
The intended purpose of Mud Terrain tire types is off-road use. They are not designed for regular highway driving.
