Trailer Master TM118
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Enhanced controllability
- Upgraded load durability
- All season performance
OVERVIEW
The Trailer Master TM118 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The tire offers great all season traction, optimizing its year-round performance. The tire’s optimal groove placement channels water and slush away from the footprint. As a result, they effectively resist hydroplaning in wet conditions. Its compound blend and the ideal tread design increase the tire’s surface grip. Sipes create biting edges, which firmly grip the road surface at all times. Additionally, the compound keeps the tire pliable in versatile temperatures, enabling its summer and winter weather applications.
The robust structure and the rubber compound increase the tire’s heavy-duty performance. The strong compound and the reinforced internal structure work together to increase the heavy-duty handling. These elements maintain the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform, it can easily carry and withstand heavy loads. This load-carrying capacity makes the model perfectly safe, even under heavy loads.
The Trailer Master TM118's flat footprint, with the ideal tread pattern, improves controllability. Maintaining road contact upgrades the tire’s steering responsiveness and towing stability throughout the performance. This results in faster and more accurate steering responses to the towing vehicle’s instructions, while the structure is stabilized. It also helps to minimize the possibility of trailer swaying. Better handling and maneuvering are guaranteed in this manner.
This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.
The photo is a representation of the tire's possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
