OVERVIEW
The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 (N0) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for select passenger vehicles and SUVs. It is the first approved original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles. The tire is designed for the front axle position.
The tire is marked with the 'N0' notation, which means that it was especially manufactured to be the original equipment tire for select Porsche vehicles. It is the first accepted version of the Latitude Sport 3 model to be used as an original equipment on Porsche vehicles, which is market by the 0 in 'N0'. The tire went through rigorous tests to be used and approved by Porsche on their vehicles. It was manufactured to bring forward the highest performing capability of these vehicles.
The new innovative tire compound features silica and elastomer in it. The combination of these two elements improves the tire's dry and wet weather road gripping ability and it allows the tire to perform well in all summer road conditions. The circumferential grooves and the increased void ratio of the tread pattern enables the model to avoid dangerous hydroplaning situations. This is achieved by dispersing water from beneath the tire footprint and ensuring that the tire maintains constant road contact.
The better summer weather traction, along with the tread pattern's center rib, keeps the tire's road contact constant. The enhanced contact generates friction at the moment of braking, which spreads out across the solid center rib, shortening the tire's braking distance. The upgraded braking ability improves the summer weather safety of the drive and ensures greater controllability over the vehicle.
The tire's special compound and the tread design increase the tread life by preventing irregular tread wear across the tread area. The optimized tire footprint equally distributes the forces of accelerating, cornering and braking along the tread, while the tire compound slows down the tread wear rate. The slower and constant even wear extend the tire's usability and tread life. As the tire is usable for a longer period of time, purchasing it becomes more cost efficient.
