OVERVIEW
The American Tourer Touring A/S is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire offers great year-round performance. It combines the silica-based compound and the detailed ribbed footprint in order to improve its dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. These elements allow the tire to increase its grip on the road surface with extra biting edges. The silica compound keeps the rubber flexible, optimizing its performance throughout the year. Four circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint.
This footprint features a detailed symmetric tread design. The three-rib center tread area maintains surface contact at all times, upgrading steering responsiveness and driving stability. On the other hand, the shoulder block placement and the detailed sipe placement enhance maneuvering. Cornering is upgraded with the additional biting edges, while the sipes shorten the braking distance. This combination ensures a secure performance.
High driving comfort levels are provided with this model. The optimized pitch pattern helps to significantly decrease road noise levels heard by the passengers. This pattern negates sound waves with a special sound-canceling frequency. As road disturbances do not reach the vehicle's cabin, it is able to enhance the passengers' driving enjoyment.
The American Tourer Touring A/S improves its usability. The ribbed tread design offers better stability, which effectively prevents tread flexing. This allows even pressure circulation, combating irregular wear. On the other hand, the durable wear-resistant compound helps to the decrease treadwear rate as well. Slow and even wear greatly increase its service life.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
