OVERVIEW

The Otani OH-153 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The symmetric ribbed tread design upgrades the grip on dry, wet and winter weather road surface conditions. The symmetric tread's siped rib edges increase the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the all season compound maintains the rubber flexibility in various temperatures. The tread's wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint, keeping the tire's surface contact even in wet and slushy weather situations. This combination enhances the model's performing capability in all weather, all year round.

The tread design boosts the controllability. The tread's symmetric ribbed pattern increases the surface contact throughout the tire's performance. The better road contact enables the tire to enhance the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As a result, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. The solid shoulder ribs also keep the road contact during maneuvering, which enhances the tire's cornering capability. This results in the driver's full control over the vehicle at all times.

The OH-153 increases the length of its usability. The symmetric ribbed tread design ensures even pressure distribution along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid irregular wear formations across the tread area. The durable compound actively prevents heat build-up along the tread area, resisting premature tread wear. The tread's self-cleaning capability prevents stone retention as the grooves' knobs eject rocks stuck between the tread elements before they can drill into the footprint and damage the tire's casing. In this manner, the tire guarantees a lengthened tread and service life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
