The high-grip summer compound and the asymmetric tread design increase the dry and wet weather traction. The wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The tire, however, is not suited for winter weather performance as its compound loses its flexibility in colder temperatures, while the tread is not capable to maintain its road grip on snow and ice-covered road surfaces. The compound is capable to take the heat of summer weather driving and ensures a safer warm weather performance.
