OVERVIEW
The Duro HF242 Performance Slicks is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for racing vehicles. This model is suitable for both recreational and concession kart racing.
The tire offers excellent summer weather traction. It combines the summer compound with the slick footprint, which lacks any detail, to increase the dry weather application. Heat build-up along the footprint is avoided with the special heat-resistant rubber materials. The tread's surface grip increases the model's performance. However, this model should not be used in wet weather conditions. It is for dry racing only.
The tread's surface contact increases the controllability. The close road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability, promoting safer handling and maneuvering. On the other hand, the footprint also works with the stronger structure and heat-resistant compound to enhance the high speed durability. This makes the tire excellent for kart racing applications, as it ensures its secure performance.
The HF242 Performance Slicks offers longer lasting usability. The reinforced compound helps to optimize the treadwear rate. The pressure build-up resistance keeps the tread wear rate even, avoiding accelerated wear in the process. It also protects the tire from external damage. Punctures and tread damage are avoided, offering a lengthened service life.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

Depending where you are located in the 48 contiguous states, our shipping courier will take approximately 1-6 business days to deliver the tires to you from any of our four main warehouses located in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida and/or our smaller warehouses which are located across the country.
Due to the nature of shipping, packages may be separated at the shipping courier's facility and not delivered on the same day, even though shipped together. You'll receive a master tracking number via email to check on the courier's website for updates. For instance, you may receive 3 tires on one day and the 4th on the following day, or one tire one day and another the day after. We understand this may be inconvenient at times but it's beyond our control.
