OVERVIEW

The Yokohama Advan Sport ZPS is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

This tire offers great summer weather traction and it grips the road well in dry and wet weather conditions. It is, however, not suited for winter weather driving as the tread compound loses its grip in colder temperatures. The circumferential grooves in the tread pattern help disperse water from beneath the tire footprint which helps improve the wet traction and it makes the tire resist dangerous hydroplaning situations.

The tire was manufactured with Yokohama's Zero Pressure System (ZPS). This construction enables the tire's limited temporary performance after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. This prevents the vehicle from getting stranded on the side of the road. Instead, it can be driven to a nearby location where the damaged tire can be changed or fixed. Run flat tires should not be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle.

The model is easy to control thanks to its great steering responsiveness and accuracy. This is made possible with the tread pattern's outer shoulder zone and the internal structure of the sidewall. These two enhancements working together allow a quick and precise steering responsiveness. The better steering response lets the driver control the vehicle with confidence on the changing road conditions.

The outer shoulder zone also helps reduce the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle. While the tire is in motion that tread pattern channels the soundwaves through its footprint. This prevents the road noise from increasing as the airwaves do not hit the tread elements when passing though. The quieter tire offers a comfortable driving experience.

The reinforced internal structure maintains the tire's uniformity. The tire does not lose its shape under the high speed driving pressure. As the tire does not lose its shape, it becomes safer to use at high speeds, which also increases the tire's performing capability. The tire is a high speed model and it is able to reach higher driving speeds.

The Advan Sport ZPS's sidewall structure prevents lateral deflection, which further increases the tire's high speed driving safety.
