OVERVIEW
The Travelstar HF188 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The tire offers great controllability. The symmetric ribbed tread pattern closely follows the road surface throughout the year, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability of the trailer. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the towing vehicle's instructions, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The model's stability is further improved with the reinforced internal structure. This construction does not allow the optimal tire shape to deform under the driving and load pressure affecting it. This enables the tire to also carry and withstand heavier loads with ease, significantly improving its durability.
The model ensures first-rate all weather traction. The optimal tread pattern and the special all season compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping capability. The symmetric tread design's optimal siping detail firmly grips the road surface all year, while the compound keeps the tire's flexible traction, even in colder temperature winter weather. The tread features circumferential grooves that disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint, avoiding hydroplaning in the process.
The HF188 promotes a lengthened tread life. The symmetric ribbed tread design, with the optimal siping detail, manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthen the tread life by resisting irregular tread wear formations across the tread area. The extended even tread life improves the tire's usability, making the model more cost efficient.
