OVERVIEW
The Ohtsu ST5000 is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the symmetric tread design, with the full depth tread elements and high angle lateral grooves, enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The special tread elements firmly grip the road surface in all weather, which ensures a safer year round performance. The four wide circumferential grooves and the high angle lateral ones boost the hydroplaning resistance by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning prevention and exceptional all weather traction guarantee a safer driving experience.
The model offers a comfortable drive. The special tread design creates a two to three variable pitch sequence that manages to lower the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. This is achieved as the pitch sequence creates a sound frequency that negates the road and tread noise generated while the tires are in motion. The tire's internal structure features a jointless nylon cap ply that makes the tire closely follow the road surface. This allows the model to decrease the road vibrations felt by the passenger during the drive. The lower levels of road noise and road vibrations ensure a comfortable and quiet drive and performance.
The jointless nylon cap ply's maintained road contact also extends the tread life. The constant contact with the road surface stabilizes the tread elements and prevents tread shifting while the tires are in motion. This allows the model to evenly distribute the driving pressure across the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking ensures an extended usability and tread life by preventing irregular wear formations across the tread area, making the tire more cost efficient as well.
The ST5000 is easily controlled. The tread pattern's solid center rib maintains constant road contact which increases the model's controllability. The solid center rib boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability greatly. It stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure affecting it, while ensuring a quick and precise steering response to the driver's commands.
