The summer compound keeps the tire's rubber flexibility under extreme heat (caused by the summer conditions and by the tire's high speed performance) and actively avoid heat build-up along the tread area, preventing the tire from losing its traction during its performance. The tread design, on the other hand, features an optimal pattern of grooves, sipes and tread blocks that maintains the tire's contact with the road surface in dry and wet weather. When driving in rainy situations, the three wide circumferential grooves disperse water from below the footprint and significantly increase the wet weather driving safety.
