OVERVIEW

The Nitto NT01 is a radial racing summer tire, manufactured for dry competition use. The tire is DOT (Department of Transportation) Approved for the racetrack.

The tire offers excellent summer weather traction. The wide footprint with the optimized groove pattern upgrades the dry and wet weather road grip at slower speeds. However, during competition, the tire is not recommended to be used in wet conditions. Its slick pattern only was designed to conquer dry competition courses. The model is not suited for winter weather and cold temperature use.

The model ensures first-rate dry racing performance. The tread design, tire compound and internal structure work together to enable the tire's extreme high speed performance. The tread design's slick pattern and the special tire compound boost the dry performance and prevent heat build-up during the drive. In this manner, they also manage to lengthen the tire's tread wear rate. The internal structure features a high module rayon carcass and a stronger sidewall that maintain the tire's optimal shape and prevent deformation under the high speed driving pressure affecting the model. As a result, the tire guarantees a secure high speed racing performance.

The NT01 is easily controlled even at high speeds. The stronger construction keeps the optimal tire shape and stabilizes the structure against the driving pressure affecting the tire. This significantly improves the model's steering response time and accuracy. The large shoulder tread design increases the tire's footprint and tire-to-road ratio, which enhances the cornering and braking capability. The large road contact area heightens the number of biting edges firmly gripping the road surface during cornering and it creates friction at the moment of braking to provide a safer maneuvering capability.
