The Max Touch Construction was used in the manufacture of the tire which provides an optimized and maximized road contact patch. The better road contact spreads the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking out evenly across the tread area, avoiding uneven wear. The tread wear rate is also slowed down with the reduced rolling resistance. The special tire compound materials and the tread design's improved road gripping ability take the pressure off of the tire and lowers the rolling resistance. The decreased rolling resistance in turn lessens the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
